Donation to Shelter on Cinco de Mayo
Do Your Shelter Dogs Love Cinco de Mayo? ("5th of May") Pet Company Looking for Shelters to Donate Thousands of Puppy Piñatas
April 13, 2009 (NAPLES, FL) – Dogs love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo as much as humans do. As part of a nationwide community relations program, Puppy Piñata, the world’s only plush dog toy stuffed with natural treats, is launching a “Cinco de Mayo Puppy Piñata Celebration” by donating thousands of Puppy Piñatas to animal shelters across the nation. The newly launched Puppy Piñata is an interactive “2-in-1” plush dog toy, which comes pre-stuffed with tasty treats. The company is looking for the first two shelters in each state to send an email with contact information to promo@puppypinata.com and request for the prize package of 50 Puppy Piñatas by April 22. All shelters must be a registered 501c nonprofit and in good standing. The Puppy Piñata prize packages will be shipped for arrival of Cinco de Mayo!
“As a company of avid dog lovers, we were looking for a way to give shelter dogs a day of fun and give back,” said Ericka Basile, Marketing Director. “The Puppy Piñata answers the growing trend to give dogs a sense of connecting with their primal instincts: search, hunt, work for their food, which any dog deserves to be stimulated especially dogs that spend their time at a shelter waiting for a forever home.”
The company requests photos of shelter dogs and their stories to be sent in too after the event. The photos and follow-up stories will be posted in June at www.puppypinata.com. “The Cinco de Mayo Puppy Piñata Celebration is one way for us to continue to grow strong bonds with animal shelters across the country and support their important work,” added Basile. In addition, a portion of all Puppy Piñata sales to the public go directly to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) International.
About Puppy Piñata~
Puppy Piñata stimulates a dog’s natural instinct or their “inner wolf” and gives them the satisfaction of working for the treat, shaking the toy, opening the secret pocket to get to the treat, and then conquering the prey. After eating the treats, dogs often carry the empty Puppy Piñata around for days. They may even sleep with it. The debut toy, a plush blue dog named Poncho, houses a special pouch pre-stuffed with tasty treats. All Puppy Piñata treats are made in the United States. The Puppy Piñata is available in two sizes and retails for $9.99 and $14.99.
